The podcast is moving to every other week, and we’ll be trying some new things on the in-between Tuesday mornings. This week it’s a quick roundup of neighborhood activity on Twitter:

The LHHS Police made their Twitter debut last week; this is the only tweet so far.

State Rep. Kenneth Sheets was at the Lake Highlands Exchange Club meeting early Friday morning, and U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling‘s speech on national debt was his 999th tweet. (The 1,000th tweet? “When the American spirit was in its youth, the language of America was different: Liberty, Sir, was then the primary object.” —Patrick Henry )

Enticed, which bills itself as “Dallas’ first and only permitted food truck street vending authentic shaved ice,” was parked at the Abrams-Skillman Sigel’s on Saturday night. (Sigel’s has established itself as a regular host of mobile food trucks.)

Sports analyst Matt Mosley lives in the neighborhood, and was at Atomic Pie Saturday during the Rangers game.

And finally, the LHHS seniors are using Twitter to sell T-shirts (and other stuff — someone will have to clue me in on what a mank is), and also posted this on the first day of school: “1st day of senior year!!! Last first day ever …”
