Her friends called her Ally. A “champion of those in need” … she volunteered with animals and children and excelled in a wide range of activities including mock trial, horseback riding and golf team manager.
She left behind parents Teresa and Drew and her sister and best friend, Christina, and her grandparents Artie and Alex Alexandrou, to name a few. She loved her horse Titan and her pet ferret, Danlly, no doubt named after her boyfriend, Daniel.
Carey, Daniel Thomas, born July 2, 1993 … he grew up in San Antonio and went to Bishop Lynch for three years. He planned to play football at Baylor in the fall. He left behind his parents, Timothy and Jeanne and brothers Peter and Matthew, and two sets of grandparents: Terrence and Dolores Carey and Richard and Mary Ann Menke, to name a few.
They died together in a car accident last week.
Alley’s family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations to Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship (equest.org).
Her funeral will be held tomorrow, Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church.
This morning, Daniel’s family and friends are filling the rows of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lake Highlands for his funeral. His family is requesting that donations be sent to Bishop Lynch High School, in lieu of flowers.
