Pizzeria Venti has indeed closed, and manager Summer Shacklette claims that they were simply kicked out of Hillside Village. “I am not sure what is going on …” said Shacklette. “The landlord decided she did not want us as tenants … We are now taking legal action.” As mentioned earlier, according to Steve Timmons with Twinrose Investments it was a case of poor management. Either way, we’ll keep you posted on the future of the Pizzeria Venti space.
Editor’s Note: As of July 21, Shacklette has not responded to our requests for a follow-up interview, and it appears that neither she nor Pizzeria Venti have filed a lawsuit regarding their lockout. We’ll continue to follow-up with Shacklette and Twinrose and let you know what we find out.
