Lake Highlands High will have a scrimmage tonight at 6:30 p.m. at The Boneyard. This would be a great opportunity for all of those looking for possible starters for next season to get a first glimpse.
There is a Parent Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday LHHS Library. This is the last opportunity to purchase work-out attire and parents can buy Red & White Tickets in advance.
The Red & White Game is Saturday, May 7. Pre-game activities start at 1 p.m. and kick-off is at 1:30. Hot Dogs will be served after the game. Senior Moms and Senior Players pictures will be taken immediately following the game.
Take advantage of the spring junior parents and friends, this is the beginning of preparation for the fall, and you will be able to see how much these athletes progress over the summer. It’s amazing how a 16-17 year-old-athlete changes in three months.
Have fun with the Red & White Game!
Also, last week I pointed out that Brian Chandler was moving to Richardson High as the athletic coordinator and Head football coach. He has completely transitioned to his work at RHS, and should make a huge impact with the program.
LHHS Head Coach Scott Smith had this to say about Chandler:
“Coach Chandler is a great guy and will do a great job over at RHS. We hate to lose him but he is ready to be a head coach. Next year (week 10) will be strange. But, it also is a great thing to get to compete against someone that I think very highly of and consider a good friend.”
