Lake Highlands High will play at Sachse High Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Class 5A Region II Bi-District playoffs.
The Lady Wildcats finished the season (20-1, 11-1) as District 9-5A Champions, giving up an average of one run per game and scoring 12 rpg.
LHHS Pitcher Erin Brennan finished the season with 147 strikeouts on 97 innings pitched.
Sachse on the other hand finished fourth in District 10-5A. The Lady Mustangs have two pitchers in Ashley Fuentes and Kelsey Payne who each gave up just over two runs per game, and the offense scored just at 8 runs per game.
This is a one game playoff match with the winner moving on to the second round.
If LHHS wins, head coach Kelly Baker has already made a special promise to her team.
