It’s unusual to see a bicycle race happening on a Friday, so when I saw dozens of numbered cyclists circling White Rock Lake this morning, it caught my attention. Turns out they are participating in a 100-mile ride today from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in recognition of White Rock Lake’s 100 years in business. It does mean a closed traffic lane both on Mockingbird and at the south side on Garland.
