W.T. White did put three hits on the board, but Lake Highlands High pitcher Erin Brennan and the Lady Wildcats defense didn’t allow a run to score for the second straight game as LHHS won 18-0.
The Lady Wildcats have allowed five runs in eight District 9-5A games this season, and Brennan has now tossed seven shutouts.
Destiny Rojas, Bridget O’Brien, Angela Beard and Brenna all posted doubles to pace the Lady Wildcats to 13 hits on the game.
LHHS has essentially locked up the top spot in 9-5A, but two wins this weekend against Sunset High and Berkner High would seal the deal for sure.
Lake Highlands will play Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at home and then heads to second place Berkner at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday for a game that could secure the No. 1. seed.
