No, this is not a podcast about then-councilman and now-Mayor Dwaine Caraway’s proposed ordinance about sagging pants.
In this week’s podcast, we talk about the recent ejection of Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant from NorthPark Center, whether the incident may have had anything to do with the recent hubbub over NorthPark gang activity, and how store owners may have felt quite differently than the off-duty police officers. (Maybe that’s part of the reason the ban on Bryant was so quickly lifted.)
Also, if you’ve seen the yard signs, you know that Dallas has an election coming up on May 14. We discuss whether Lake Highlanders are interested in the four-way race for mayor, and what it means — if anything — that in our neighborhood, Councilman Jerry Allen has a challenger, but not one that has done any serious campaigning with the election only a month and a half away.
