LHHS graduate Brian Novy is on board the USS George Washington in the waters near Japan, and asked the Lake Highlands Military Moms for help in sending blankets for their aid mission to the Japanese tsunami victims. (Don Lee notes in his email to the club that it’s still cold in northern Japan.) The cost of sending two blankets is $12, and the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands collected $220 at a recent meeting to help the cause.
