Lady Wildcat softball is in full swing, and the girls have a 12-0 season record and are undefeated in district play. Tonight’s home game against district rival Berkner should be well worth the price of admission as Lake Highlands defends its titles as District Co-Champions in 2010 and Champions in 2009.
“The girls have worked really hard on their hitting,” said Coach Kelly Baker, “and it is paying off. They are such a good group of ladies and turning into a cohesive team this year. I am so pleased with our success and can’t wait to see how it all plays out.”
Leading the team are senior captains Ashley Hudson and Bridget O’Brien and captain Erin Brennan, a junior. JV takes the field at 5:30 pm, and the varsity follows at about 7:30. Go Cats!
