“Helping the most vulnerable children of Africa today so they can help Africa’s children tomorrow” — that’s the main goal of the African Children’s Choir, which performed at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church this month.
This is the third year that the choir, comprised of some of Africa’s neediest orphans, has visited the Lake Highlands church. The choir changes the lives of the children who are members — theirs is an encouraging story.
Advocate Videographer Benjamin Hager interviews church pastor Dr. Anne Cameron, host families, the retired teacher who leads the choir and a couple of the children, and he gets some beautiful footage of the concert. The African Children’s Choir puts on about 250 concerts every year.
