Granted, with development slowed (witness the stalled Town Center) there are fewer opportunities for tear-downs. A new attitude may be the most logical approach, considering that we are still grappling with problems that result from high density, low income, and code violations in some of the apartments in Lake Highlands.
Apartment owners and managers can take action to improve conditions at the apartment buildings, and some have already done so, according to The News. Jerry Allen hopes to promote this strategy to more multi-family residences in our area, with the intention that they will become “good neighbors.”
