So, if you read the story about Doris Daniely Outreach in the February Advocate, you know the nonprofit founded by a neighborhood resident is helping women rebuild their bodies following cancer treatment that results in a mastectomy.

Breast reconstruction can cost $100,000 and so far this group has made the procedure possible for 14 area women. They rely on the generosity of donors, including doctors who regularly contribute services and supplies.

The public is invited to attend the Doris Daniely High Tea Saturday Feb. 26 at the Dallas Arboretum from 2-4 p.m.. The fundraiser is $45 per person or $420 for a table for 10.

Keynote speaker Laura Leigh Schakosky is a well-known celebrity makeup artist who has worked with the likes of Martha Stewart, Donald Trump, Nicole Kidman, Shacquille O’Neil and Troy Aikman, to name a few. Lantana, an all-girl country rock trio, will provide entertainment.
