Trevor Atkins, who plays for the Hillcrest Lacrosse team based in Preston Hollow, has signed a national letter of intent with Colgate University, a Division 1 NCAA. Here’s the release we received from David Look:
Atkins attends Lake Highlands High School, ranks in the top 14 percent of his graduating class. His school activities include: National Honor Society officer, Mu Alpha Theta (Mathematics Honor Society), National Art Honor Society officer, Latin Club, Student Council, a Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist, Coca-Cola Scholars Program Semi-finalist, Dale Hansen’s Scholar Athlete of the Week (WFAA Television). He’s also a member of the Wranglers Country & Western Performance Dance Team.
Atkins’ lacrosse honors include All-State, All-District, Team Offensive MVP, Texas’ scoring Triple Crown Winner(led in goals, assists, and points), two year Varsity Captain, two time participant in Texas Top 99 (T99), Top 205 Juniors, Denver All-Star Shoot Out , Brine Shoot Out and Adrenaline Lacrosse High Rollers Top 200 Players.
He also participates in Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Mosaic Church and its numerous mission trips in Mexico and Arizona. He is a sports media intern for lakehighlandstoday.com and plans to study Sports Broadcasting and Journalism at Colgate.
