Now that we know who’s playing in the big game, where to find tickets?
All week long, while tickets last, that is, Ken’s Man Shop, whose owners were profiled in the September Advocate, is selling raffle tickets for a Super Bowl package that includes two tickets, game-day brunch prepared by Dean Fearing, an autographed Troy Aikman jersey and a Lincoln Town Car to and from the game.
The raffle tickets are $200 each, but even if you don’t win, owners Ken And Kory Helfman, Lake Highlands and Lakewood residents, respectively, will split the donations between the Scottish Rite Hospital and the Bill Hunt memorial scholarship fund, which you can read about in the aforementioned article.
They are only selling 1,964 raffle tickets (representing the year the shop opened), so odds of winning are relatively good even if they do sell out. Call 214.369.KENS for details and tickets. Former Cowboy great Lee Roy Jordon will draw the winner in the store, 309 Preston Royal Center, Saturday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m.
