Lake Highlands High’s boys basketball team is an offensive juggernaut, sitting atop the area in points per game by nearly five points on average.
The Wildcats also have one of the area’s top scorers in Trey Bingham who is fourth in the area with 19 ppg. Taylor Stell and James Preston are up in the top 30 in scoring as well. However, Stell is fourth in the area with 230 rebounds, and Preston is second in the area with 142 assists.
When you talk about a Big Three, that group is certainly one of the best around offensively. Maybe we should come up with a nickname for them. Any suggestions? Maybe the Tenacious Trio, or Lake Highlands Thrice.
Tonight, LHHS puts its offense up against Richardson at 7:30 p.m. at home. Richardson allows about 55 ppg and scores around 54 ppg. The Eagles big scorer is Torrance Carr who averages about 17 ppg and has made 30 three-pointers this year.
Also note that Lake Highlands is only one game in front of Richardson, who happens to be in a three-way tie for the final playoff spot, so this game will be important for the playoff picture, as will the remaining Wildcats schedule.
