Lake Highlands finished 5th in the RISD Ice Bowl over the weekend, tying Allen at zero Friday night then shutting out Garland High 3-0 Saturday. In that game, Luis Rios, Jack Blanton and Turner Doggett all had goals.
Saturday afternoon, the Cats played El Paso’s Austin High in one of the consolation brackets. LH’s Joel Mendoza, Travis Sowards and Mason Miller put points on the scoreboard.
Look for a big week coming in men’s soccer – the Cats face defending 4A Champion Frisco Wakeland Tuesday night at Pizza Hut Park’s Dr. Pink field at 7 pm, then Flower Mound Marcus at Flower Mound Friday. Go Cats!
