Let’s hope our friends at Oncor, which did such a lousy job restoring electricity after last winter’s record-setting snowfall, are more prepared this time around. At least they had a couple of days to prepare for it, given that the weather types have been hyping this thing since at least Thursday. Plus, they do have one more year of experience.
And the weather types may well be right — my deck is mostly covered after an hour or so of snow. We normally get 2 1/2 inches of snow a year. Given what has happened over the past couple of years, when we have probably exceeded that total each year, am I going to have to buy a snow shovel?
