Lake Highlands High girls basketball team played stout defense in the second half Friday night on the road against Berkner, holding the Lady Rams to 17 points in the second half.
However, five points in the final quarter gave Lake Highlands its second loss this week, 45-41.
Hannah Wedding dropped 12 points to lead the Lady Wildcats as Tierra Scott added 10 points in the effort.
Lake Highlands falls to 2-4 in District 9-5A play, while Berkner moves to 3-1. Lake Highlands will play at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 18, at Skyline after a bye week in the upcoming week.
