Captain Mason Miller scored one of the Wildcats' three goals last night

The Lake Highlands men’s soccer team posted their first win last night, defeating Mesquite Horn 3-1 in Mesquite. The tune-up game was an important momentum builder for the Cats, given the long-term absence of injured goalkeeper Jeffrey Brooks and the loss of three starting players who’ll be out for a while due to the No Pass, No Play rule. All three goals were earned by juniors – Mason Miller, Murphy Short and Joel Mendoza.
