As Advocate readers know, we voted last November to go wet citywide. The plan, according to Kroger spokesperson Gary Huddleston, was to start selling beer and wine at the formerly dry Kroger at Plano-Northwest by Super Bowl Sunday.
Goal achieved. The TABC today granted the Kroger its permit to sell beer and wine, and I hear they have already stocked the shelves and coolers. The store recently underwent a remodel, so they were just waiting for that license.
This Kroger was one of four Dallas grocery stores to get their permit this week.
