LH's Fielder Nelms hopes neighbors will make requests and sing along when he performs Wednesday night at Glen Lakes Grill

Lake Highlands resident Fielder Nelms will be performing at Glen Lakes Grill Wednesday night, singing and playing piano for diners in support of grill owner and friend, Rick Sheen. Fielder, who also does vocals and plays keyboards for LH favorite Wes Niles and the Texas Skeeters, has done his solo act at the grill once before. “I’m hoping the crowd will get involved, singing along and making requests,” he told me. Fielder’s favorites are Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, the Beatles, Bill Joel, Carole King, Elton Joel and Journey.

When he’s not crooning rock oldies, Fielder works as an attorney in Dallas. He and wife Carolyn have three children – Texas Longhorns Kelly and Ashley and LHHS Wildcat Jack.

Fielder goes on about 7:30 pm, but he (and Rick) hope you’ll come early or stay late to have dinner and enjoy the show. Glen Lakes Grill is on Walnut Hill across from Presbyterian Hospital. See you there!
