LH grad Clay Hendon shows the Lady Wildcats basketball poster and t-shirt he received in Afghanistan

The faculty and staff of Lake Highlands High School gathered snacks and toiletry items to send to LH soldiers serving overseas in the fall, and LH graduate Clay Hendon had an extra treat in his box. Holly Mulligan, head coach of the Lady Cats basketball team, included a poster of her girls and a team t-shirt, which Clay sported for this photo, sent back from Afghanistan. Clay is the son of Missie Hendon, who works at LHHS.

“He really loved it,” said Missie. “He appreciates the support LH has given him during his years of service.”

“Please send them my deepest thanks for taking the time to send me something,” Clay wrote back. “I shared the food/treats wit hall the guys and they couldn’t believe our high school had such a big military support network. I wish the Lady Cats the best in basketball and life. Tell them to keep working hard and winning for the Wildcats!”
