The highly acclaimed literary masterpiece “Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” opens Friday at the Dallas Children’s Theater. It’s a holiday play about sassy first-grader Junie B. Tickets are $14-$25.

The Dallas Parochial League’s 50th anniversary “Catholic Bowl” football games start at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bishop Lynch High School. St. Thomas Aquinas School fifth-graders play St. Rita School at 2 p.m., and the STA sixth-graders play St. Patrick School at 4 p.m. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for children.
