LHHS grad Andrew Conwell called yesterday’s Bush Center groundbreaking ceremony “one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.” His seat on the front row and his position as president of the SMU Student Foundation gave him a unique viewpoint on yesterday’s festivities. You can see Andrew on this video of the day, presenting the ceremonial shovels to Condoleezza Rice and SMU’s President Gerald Turner. Andrew pops up toward the end, at the 1:08 minute mark on the video clip.

And if you thought you spotted 2006 LHHS grad Hannah Payne while watching the live coverage, you were right. She was in the SMU choir that performed God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner for the high-profile guests.
