There was a special guest in the house at the Lake Highlands High School pep rally Friday, and although it wasn’t Tony Romo and Will Smith this time, you couldn’t tell it by the crowd’s reaction. The student body was just as excited about welcoming and honoring Will Morgan, the Forest Meadow 7th grader fighting hard against Ewing’s Sarcoma.

At the Wildcat football game, Will and his parents were presented with a check for $1,800 from the varsity cheerleaders. The funds, earned by selling Red-Out gear and Will to Win t-shirts, will start Will’s collection for the DFW CureSearch Walk for Children’s Cancer May 14. If you didn’t get a chance to pitch in, you can add to Will’s walk total here.
