This weekend’s Wildcat football game is away, but this time that might not be a bad thing. Our opponent, Jesuit College Prep, has been working to build a big, beautiful, new stadium for months. Delays in construction have left them shuffling to find venues this year, but this week is their big Homecoming celebration and they are working like mischief to get the field finished. It’s highly likely LHHS will participate in the first game ever played there (here’s a map).

To top it off, the game has been nominated for Fox 4’s You Click The Game, giving us a chance to be featured on Fox 4 Sports. We’re up against Samuell at WT White, Mesquite Poteet at Ennis, and Birdville at Saginaw Boswell, so click on this link and vote today. (When I voted, Lake Highlands was way ahead).

It’s possible this game will be sold out at by game time, so I suggest popping in to LHHS Friday between 8:30 am and 1 pm to secure your seats. Presale reserved seats are $7, general admission are $5 and student tickets are $3. That’s pretty cheap compared to the millions that went into building the stadium. Welcome to private school. Go Cats!
