LHHS Peer Helpers load rice and beans to be sent to the needy in Juarez

Casey Boland, who leads the Lake Highlands High Schools Peer Helper program, sends word that their Rice and Beans for Juarez drive was a big success thanks to LH students and families. The food collection drive ended Thursday (though she’ll accept late donations today) with a total of 2,548 pounds collected.

“That equates to over 14,000 meals!” said Casey. “I’m so proud of LH. This food will go a long way for the people of Juarez.”
