The Lady Wildcats volleyball team will not only battle Sunset High School Friday night at Lake Highlands, they will take part in a battle against Cancer.
Lake Highlands is hosting a PINK OUT in hopes that everyone in the stands will be wearing pink. This is the second year the Lady Wildcats will take part in the fight against Cancer. Last season they began selling T-shirts in honor of teammate and current manager Emily Obenhaus who was diagnosed melanoma.
“Hopefully the majority of the school will be there,” Meagan Garcia, junior setter said. “We don’t have a football game that night so hopefully everybody will come out.”
The T-shirts were donated by Robin Norcross, and are selling for $10 a piece. All proceeds go to The Bridge, a network designed to help women without insurance receive diagnostic and treatment services for breast cancer.
