If you’ve been following the success of the hit TV show Glee, you know the new FOX series featuring LHHS grad Mark Salling is a sensation. Last night’s Emmy Awards opened with a tribute to the show, with host Jimmy Fallon drawing in Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Kate Gosellin and others to join Glee cast members dancing and singing Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” (watch the fun performance in this Youtube video).
When Glee returns for season two September 21st at 7pm, LH’s own glee club – Espree – will be the local lead-in to the show. More details are coming soon, but my advice to the talented pop choral group is – practice, practice, practice. After Glee took home awards for Best Director and Best Supporting Actress (that wacky, tracksuit-wearing Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester), this may be their most heavily-watched performance in LH history.
