Kindergarteners enjoyed Popsicles in the Park at Merriman Park Elementary
The first day of school went relatively smoothly in Lake Highlands, if anything can go smoothly at temps above 100 degrees. To give their entering Kindergarteners a sneak peek of the year ahead, Merriman Park Elementary hosted Popsicles in the Park before classes began.

Principal Laurie Taylor welcomed the kids and their parents Wednesday evening, and teachers greeted those who’d be their charges. New counselor, Leah Hayes, was also introduced, and Sparky the Mascot posed for photos with the kids.
