LHHS’ Cameron Bodell represented the Wildcats in last week’s North Texas High School All-Star Game at QuickTrip Park in Grand Prairie. Bodell, who played centerfield for the Cats, was chosen by the North Texas High School Coaches Association.
In the game pitting East against West, East (including Rockwall, Heath, RHS, South Garland, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Mesquite and Creekview) defeated West (with schools like Colleyville, Southlake, Cleburne, Keller, etc.) in a final score of 6-4.
“I had a blast,” Cameron said after the game. “The highlight for me was being chosen to bat leadoff for my team. It was a great experience.” Cameron, who will head off to Texas A&M in the fall, was coached by Kyle Hope of Richardson High and Jay Johnson, coach of the Palmer, Texas Bulldogs. Congratulations, Cameron!
