I know, I know. Summer just started, but after you catch a little vacay, think about volunteering. Volunteers are needed at the Vickery Meadow Learning Center, 6329 Ridgecrest.
This summer, you might work an hour or two a week as an adult classroom teacher, activity club teacher or pre-school assistant.
The VMLC is dedicated to improving English literacy levels among non-English speaking adults and their children by offering programs in communication and life skills.
