The Lake Highlands baseball team will face Central Texas power Belton in the regional quarterfinals of the state baseball playoffs. Game 1 is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Belton, with Game 2 starting at 1 p.m. at LHHS. A third game, if necessary, would immediately follow Game 2 at Wildcat Field.
Belton is 31-6 and dismantled Berkner in the previous round, winning by scores of 9-0 and 12-2.
