The Lake Highlands baseball team overwhelmed Killeen Ellison, 11-8, on Thursday in Game 1 of the area round playoff series at Killeen.
Lake Highlands led 11-4 before Killeen rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Game 2 of the best-of-three series is scheduled for noon Saturday at LHHS. A third game, if necessary, would start 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.
