The most loyal Back Talk readers might remember when we talked many months ago to Angela Hunt about her bike-friendly vision for our city. The talk touched on the topic of “complete streets”, an initiative that would make our streets safer and more useable for cyclists and pedestrians.

The City of Dallas and the North Central Texas Council of Governments have scheduled a 2011 Dallas Bike Plan Open House, in coordination with Dallas’ Complete Streets initiative, Thursday May 27 from 5-8 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at City Hall. The public is invited and encouraged to share their ideas. Ample bicycle parking will be available in L1 of the City Hall garage—more details here.
