We wrote about this a few months ago, and now it’s official: Twisted Root burgers is open on SMU Boulevard between Central and Greenville. I noticed people chowing down while driving by this afternoon, but I didn’t stop by. The place looked pretty inviting, though: a big wood deck holds tables outside the restaurant, and there’s plenty of seating inside the garage-door openings leading to the deck, too.
And in other nearby restaurant news just down the street on Greenville, the Raisin’ Cane’s chicken-finger restaurant we wrote about a few weeks ago has been framed out on a site that formerly housed a Washington Mutual bank building that was completed but never opened. When I drove by yesterday, the building shell was covered with plywood, but at the rate these chain restaurants are built, that probably means it will be open in 30-45 days.
