Looks like Channel 8 (WFAA) can’t get enough of the Lake Highlands gymnastics team – and why not?
The team and coach Addi Ledford did a great job with an in-studio interview shown Sunday night on Channel 8’s HS Game Time show.
Tonight at 6 and 10 p.m., Channel 8’s Joe Trahan will present a more in-depth profile of seniors Sarie Morrison and Hannah Van Meter. They captained LH to the state team title and Morrison set a record by sweeping the all-around and all four individual events.
If you follow gymnastics at all, you know there’s always more to the story than the smiles on the medals podium. Usually there’s a lot of pain, hard work, pain, frustration, pain and determination that goes into perfecting the routines. And did we mention pain?
Remember: Ch. 8 tonight at 6 and 10 p.m. (To be safe, better set your TiVo for the 6 p.m. sportscast – just in case there’s a lot of news to cram in at 10 p.m.)
