Lady Wildcat Gina Gossett was named District 5-A MVP in voting this week by district soccer coaches. Twin sister Erin was named First Team All District, as were fellow seniors Carmen Burroughs & Michal Ann Starr and sophomore Maggie Olvera. Sophomore Glory Williams was crowned Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Selected for Second Team All District were seniors Nena Rubin & Ali Vann, junior Avery Voigt and freshmen Lena Anderson & Kelsey Munoz. Brinkley Field, Jennifer Kunz and Norma Perez received Honorable Mention. Natalie Morris and Diana Sharber were named to the Freshman All District Team.
“I am very pleased with how well the team was represented among the All District Teams this year,” said Coach Misty Benson. “I am so very proud of all these girls and all their accomplishments both on and off the field.”

Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates. She has an MBA from SMU and is the proud recipient of the Exchange Club of LH's Unsung Hero Award and Councilman McGough's Blake Anderson Public Service Award. She received LHHS PTA's Extended Service Award, FMJH PTA's Charger Award and a Life Membership from the LHFC PTA. She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
