Heading into the last regular season game of the year, the Lake Highlands baseball team stands in good shape to make the playoffs. The Wildcats can clinch a postseason berth with either a win at Molina at 4:30 p.m. Friday, or a Creekview loss against Richardson on Friday night.

The Wildcats are tied with Creekview for the fourth and final playoff spot in District 9-5A, but LH holds the tiebreaker over the Mustangs, since the Cats have beaten Creekview twice.

Richardson will wrap up the district championship if the Eagles are able to beat Creekview.

In their previous meetings on April 6, LH defeated Molina, 1-0, while Creekview blanked Richardson, 5-0.

If the Wildcats make the playoffs, they will most likely meet Rowlett in the playoffs next week.
