The 5A Region II events are all but over. Only the track and field meet remains, and that won’t be run until next Monday and Tuesday (May 3-4), thanks to the wonderfual TAKS testing this week.
Last week, the LH tennis team put forth a strong effort before bowing. In girls golf, LH’s Jessica Ritter had a good first day but could not stay in contention for a state berth. The LH boys golf team had the best performance of any Dallas-area squad, led by Randy Appling who tied for 25th.
Several members of the LH track and field team should contend for state berths at next week’s track meet, which will be conducted at Baylor’s Hart-Patterson Track Stadium. Admission is $5 for students and $8 for adults each day.
