Before he threw out the first pitch at last night’s Wildcat baseball game, LHHS Senior AP English teacher David Wood received some coaching from son, Spencer. Looking a bit like one of his students preparing for a big test, Wood listened to Spencer’s helpful hints and well-wishes. Dressed in khaki trousers and a button down, Wood donned an LH baseball cap and took the mound. His pitch to senior R.J. Burns was right over the plate, to the delight of his many students in the stands and the dugout. Even rival Tracey Bishkin, AP Social Studies teacher who pitched earlier in the season, cheered him on. You can see Mr. Wood’s pitch on this video. The Wildcats won the game and play at home again Friday night at 7 pm against Skyline. Go Cats!
