The Wildcat baseball team played twice Friday in the South Grand Prairie Warrior Classic and finished the day with another tie and a loss.
Just like Thursday, LH tied its opponent, Irving, 6-6.
The Wildcats scored four of their six runs with one swing of the bat: a grand slam by junior Blake Woodson.
Senior Byron Burns and junior Dylan Porter combined to pitch all six innings as once again the game ended in a tie because of the tournament’s time limit.
Lake Highlands then lost a heartbreaker to Flower Mound Marcus, 5-4, in the second game.
The Wildcats scored two runs in the seventh inning to pull within one, but the comeback fell short.
LH will get a rematch with Irving on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.
