W.T. White showed why they’re alone in first place in district standings last night, defeating the Wildcats 3-1. The boys went into halftime with a 1-0 lead, but fell apart in the second half. The Cats face Carrollton Creekview at Standridge stadium Friday night.
The girls, on the other hand, went nuts winning 9-0. Sophomore Brinkley Field scored 4 goals total, and Lena Anderson, Maggie Olvera, Michal Ann Starr, Caroline Adams and Norma Perez each had one. The girls are excited about the rematch Friday with Creekview, the only district team to beat them last year. They may not score nine, but they are determined to chalk up a win this time around.
