When the Wranglers hosted country music star and LH native Granger Smith for a concert in November, the event was billed as a benefit for the Wild for Cats academic booster club and the Wranglers scholarship fund. Last night, LH’s country and western dance and stunt group presented a check for $3600 to Bill Keffer, Wild for Cats chairman, and Walter Kelly, LHHS principal.

“Wild for Cats appreciates every donation we receive, but it’s even more special coming from an LH student group," Keffer said. "These students expect to receive a high quality education at Lake Highlands, and they are willing to work hard to achieve it. These funds will be put to good use, filling teacher ‘wish lists’ for extras in their classrooms. We want every teacher and every student to have what they need to succeed.”
