Tuesday’s girls basketball game at Berkner is the kind that can haunt a team fighting for a playoff spot.
In a back-and-forth affair, LH wound up losing by the slimmest of margins: 40-39.
LH, Berkner and Creekview are now tied for third in the 9-5A standings with 3-2 records. Skyline is 5-0 and Richardson 4-1 to top the standings.
LH led 20-16 at halftime but allowed Berkner to come back in the second half. Tierra Scott led the Lady Cats with 12 points and Hannah Wedding scored 11.
The Lady Cats make a rare home appearance Friday against Richardson. Finally getting to play at home after a close loss should provide plenty of motivation.
