Cherisse Symonds, 17, will sing the National Anthem at the first ever basketball game held at Cowboys Stadium.
While our Cowboys are off fighting desperately against the undefeated Saints this Saturday, the new Cowboys Stadium will transform into a basketball dome and host the University of Texas-North Carolina basketball game.
Lake Highlands resident Cherisse Symonds, a student at Bending Oaks High School, will sing the National Anthem that night. She could have a live audience of up to 46,000, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN, Saturday, Dec. 19.
We won’t know until then if she’ll appear on the broadcast, Stace Symonds, her father, says. He and Cherisse’s mom Irma are proud parents either way. “She is very talented … has the voice, looks.
