Justin Chumbley, LHHS graduate in 2008, will sing as part of "Christmas at Belmont," a holiday special set to air on KERA Channel 13 Wednesday, December 23 at 8 pm. Justin attends Belmont University in Nashville, where he is a sophomore Vocal Performance major and sings in the Chorale.

Grammy-winning country music star Trisha Yearwood will host the holiday variety show, which will feature various Belmont ensembles and 400 student voices. Yearwood is a 1987 Belmont alumna.

Justin has enjoyed singing and performing since he was little, earning starring roles in productions from Highlander School’s sixth grade musical to LHHS’ version of “Annie,” where he played Daddy Warbucks. He also shared memorable performances in Varsity Revue, Senior Night Live and multiple Espree shows over the years. Justin is the son of Kara and Brett Chumbley, and his brother Jordan is a sophomore at LHHS.

    Blogger CAROL TOLER and her husband, Toby, are the parents of four LHHS graduates. She has an MBA from SMU and is the proud recipient of the Exchange Club of LH's Unsung Hero Award and Councilman McGough's Blake Anderson Public Service Award. She received LHHS PTA's Extended Service Award, FMJH PTA's Charger Award and a Life Membership from the LHFC PTA. She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
