Skyline broke out to a double-digit lead and was never really challenged. LH drew within 34-28 at the half, but it wasn’t long before Skyline had a commanding lead.

Demarcus Bernard led LH with 16 points followed by Trey Bingham with 9, Aaron Mazibuko with 8 and James Preston with 7.

The LH girls also lost to Skyline, 69-47, at Forester Fieldhouse for their first loss in three district contests. Hannah Wedding led LH with 9 followed by Tierra Scott and Bridget O’Brien with 8 each.

Both teams hit the floor again early next week for 9-5A games with Sunset. The boys will play at Ellis Davis Field House in Oak Cliff with an 8 p.m. varsity tip. The girls play at home Tuesday with the varsity game at 7:30.
