Sheridan Stringer won.
Thanks to everyone who voted in WFAA’s Eco-Educator Award contest. Merriman Park’s Sheridan Stringer and Moss Haven’s Kim Aman were among 15 outstanding teachers from all over the metroplex nominated for showing their students how to take personal responsibility for saving the planet. Mrs. Stringer used a rain barrel constructed by Boy Scouts to teach hands-on lessons about water conservation and recycling.
The kids were treated to a special assembly this morning, and they got to see WFAA’s Alexa Conomos present the award to Ms. Stringer. Keep an eye out for her on Channel 8 news broadcasts, and we’ll post the video here when it’s available.
